Skateboarding has produced it’s fair share of extraordinary individuals over the years, entrepreneurs, fashion icons, movie stars, world class artists etc… But one of the things that makes me most proud to be called a skateboarder is the amazing humanitarian efforts I’ve been witnessing from skater founder groups across the country. Grind Out Hunger was founded by Danny Keith through the vision of skateboarders helping kids overcome hunger. Boarding for Breast Cancer was founded by Frank Alvarado to help raise money for breast cancer research…. There are many more that deserve recognition and support.

I wanted to focus this article on a killer new non-profit that has been making some waves as an up & coming grass roots organization out of Utah called Skate 4 Homies. Skate 4 Homies was founded by Todd Ingersol as a way to helps kids who can’t afford skateboard equipment get the gear they need.
“I want to create an organization that helps kids develop the passion that skateboarding created in me. I believe that being driven and working toward your goals is something that should develop inside you when you are young. These characteristics will only help you succeed in life, whether in skateboarding or some other endeavor. This organization is about helping kids reach their full potential..”
